(Cafef) – Nutricare promptly donated more than 50,000 servings of nutritional milk to children in regions severely affected by floods in Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak (formerly part of Phu Yen province).

Representatives from Nutricare personally delivered the donations and coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of these provinces to provide nutritional support, helping children restore their health after the impact of Storm No. 13.

Nutricare’s nutrition caravan brings essential supplies to children in flooded areas

Storm No. 13, accompanied by heavy and prolonged rain, caused widespread flooding, severely affecting daily life, work, and schooling in the Central and Central Highlands regions. Rising floodwaters disrupted electricity and water, limited food supplies, and left many areas isolated, forcing residents to rely on rescue teams and incoming aid shipment.

In this context, ensuring children’s safety while maintaining adequate nutrition became especially critical to help them stay healthy after the disaster.

Nourishing Care – Supporting children through the floods

With a spirit of solidarity and compassion, Nutricare quickly launched the “Nourishing Care – Supporting Children Through the Floods” program, delivering over 50,000 cups of milk to the affected areas.

These milk servings provide essential nutrients, energy, and physical support, helping children recover and maintain their health amid the aftermath of the storm. All products were safely produced and transported according to food safety standards, ensuring children receive quality nutrition even under disrupted living conditions, easing concerns for families with young children affected by the floods.

Nutricare directly handed over over 50,000 cups of milk to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees in Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces (formerly part of Phu Yen). The committees, in coordination with local authorities, distributed the milk to children in need, especially those in isolated areas, ensuring safe and effective delivery despite challenging weather and transportation conditions.
