Health & Life Newspaper and Nutricare support the ‘little warriors’ of Children’s Hospital No.2

On the morning of August 27, Health & Life Newspaper (suckhoedoisong.vn) and Nutricare Nutrition Joint Stock Company donated 40,000 glasses of Leanmax Hope Medical Nutrition milk to pediatric cancer patients being treated at Children’s Hospital No.2 (Ho Chi Minh City).

Previously, on July 8, 2024, Nutricare and Health & Life Newspaper signed the program “80,000 glasses of milk for children with cancer” for the second year at the Vietnam National Children’s Hospital (Hanoi) and Children’s Hospital No.2 (Ho Chi Minh City)

Speaking at the award ceremony, representative of Health & Life Newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City, journalist Nguyen Thi Huyen said: “Nutrition for patients, especially cancer patients, is receiving more and more attention. Journalist Nguyen Thi Huyen offers gifts to pediatric patient

Ms. Tran Thi Hien – mother of patient N.G.H who is being treated at the Hematology Oncology Department was moved upon receiving the gift from Health & Life Newspaper and Nutricare.

Ms. Hien said that her son has been treated at the Hematology Oncology Department since February 2024. During the treatment at the hospital, her son and other patients often had poor appetite, fatigue… due to the effects of chemotherapy, so ensuring nutrition for children to guarantee their health to fight against the disease became challenging.

A representative of Children’s Hospital No.2 said that for children with cancer who have been treated for a long time at the hospital, the donated milk has become a favorite nutritional drink, which has been positively received by the children, allowing them to overcome symptoms of anorexia and fatigue caused by the effects of treatment regimens. In addition to improving the physical and mental health of the children, the milk donation activity also helps reduce the financial burden on the children’s families.
