(Vietnamnet) – Summer is a time when young children are more susceptible to respiratory and digestive problems. In response, nutritional products applying postbiotic technology are becoming a trend chosen by many parents to support children’s overall health.
Postbiotics – A scientific advance that helps strengthen immunity
For many years, probiotics (live beneficial bacteria) have been widely used to help balance the gut microbiota and support digestion. However, probiotics are quite sensitive to temperature and storage conditions, and their activity is especially prone to decline when passing through the acidic environment of the stomach. This can affect their ability to deliver benefits once inside the body.
Unlike probiotics, the postbiotic Lactococcus lactis Plasma (Postbiotic LC-Plasma) is considered a new advance in nutritional science because of its ability to act directly on the immune system. Because it is “pre-activated” after fermentation, this postbiotic is highly stable and is less affected during storage or while passing through the stomach’s acidic environment, helping preserve its biological activity in the body.
In particular, Postbiotic LC-Plasma can activate plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs), which are likened to the “command cells” of the immune system. Once activated, these cells rapidly send signals that help the body identify viruses and bacteria early, while promoting the production of type I interferons—important factors that enhance the body’s ability to fight disease-causing agents. Through this mechanism, the immune system can respond more quickly and effectively, helping strengthen the body’s natural defenses.

Breakthrough postbiotic technology backed by global scientific evidence
The efficacy of Postbiotic LC-Plasma has been documented in more than 38 scientific studies, including over 18 human clinical studies, along with numerous studies on efficacy and safety.
A study involving 213 healthy adults found that the group using Postbiotic LC-Plasma tended to have fewer days with cough symptoms and feelings of fever than the control group. The number of people experiencing cold and flu symptoms was also significantly lower.
In Vietnam, a clinical study conducted by the Vietnam National Institute of Nutrition in collaboration with the Kirin Research Center in Japan among 892 primary school students showed that supplementation with this postbiotic helped reduce influenza symptoms, cut the number of fever days by about 45%, and nearly halve the number of school absence days due to respiratory problems.

These results show that Postbiotic LC-Plasma not only helps strengthen immunity but also helps children maintain good physical health, particularly during seasonal transitions or disease outbreaks.
Bioyo with 100 billion postbiotic beneficial bacteria – A technological breakthrough that helps strengthen immunity
Recognizing the role of postbiotics in supporting stronger immunity, especially in young children, Nutricare partnered with the Nutricare Medical Nutrition Institute – USA (NMNI-USA) to successfully develop Bioyo, a yogurt supplement containing 100 billion postbiotic beneficial bacteria. The product combines advanced science with Nutricare and NMNI-USA’s commitment to caring for the health of Vietnamese children, helping support healthy digestion and stronger immunity.
Applying advanced postbiotic technology, Bioyo provides 100 billion Lactococcus lactis Plasma postbiotic cells, a clinically studied strain that helps strengthen immunity.

The product also combines soluble fiber (FOS and inulin) to support a healthy digestive system, reduce constipation, and improve calcium absorption.
Thanks to the stability of postbiotics, Bioyo can be stored flexibly at either room temperature or a cool temperature, and the product contains no preservatives. Bioyo has a mild sweet-and-sour flavor that is easy for young children to drink and tastes better when chilled. Its convenient storage and use make Bioyo a suitable option for children to take to school, outdoor activities, or family trips during the summer.
By applying a scientific foundation to product development, Bioyo yogurt with 100 billion postbiotic beneficial bacteria is expected to provide a modern nutritional solution that supports digestion and strengthens immunity, so children can stay happy and healthy every day.
