As a result, their gut microbiota tends to develop in a less favorable direction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, 70\u201380% of the body&#8217;s immune cells are concentrated in the gut. It is regarded as an \u201cimmune training center,\u201d where the microbiota helps the body learn to distinguish beneficial from harmful agents. Disruptions in the establishment of the microbiota therefore expose children born by C-section to risks of respiratory infections, digestive disorders, allergies, and other immunity-related problems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Breast Milk \u2013 A foundational source of nutrition supporting immunity<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In view of the immune and digestive challenges faced by children born by C-section, early nutritional support plays a particularly important role in \u201cmaking up for\u201d early-life deficiencies.
